Jekyll and Hyde Club
We recently went to New York, and of course we had to visit the Famous Jekyll and Hyde Club. This place is awesome, it was the high light of my stay in New York. When you approach the front door you are met by the Door Man who then calls back to your host. The Host dramatically swings the doors open and greats you in a sinister tone and ushers you into the front entry way where the first part of your entertainment starts. The host in a well scripted scene talks with a computer generated ghoul who tests your fear level by pulling a lever and the roof above you starts to lower. The scene ends with you passing the ghouls test and being admitted into the bar/waiting area of the restaurant. The restaurant is a four story toy store for the Halloween enthusiast, every corner and every wall has something to entertain everyone. The J & H Club is an all ages restaurant, it has animatronics shows every 10-15 minutes on each of the levels. Live actors put on shows every hour where they enter act with the guests and the animatronics. Guests are free to walk around and explore every corner of the restaurant. The food was exceptional, and the service was great, hours upon hours could be spent here it really was the highlight of my New York trip. (hint the bathrooms are hidden and you need to find them before it is to late.) |
